In this video I show you how to blend two exposures using luminance masks in Photoshop. The techniques I'm using can also be used to blend more exposures.

To follow along I recommend to check out the excellent tutorials about Luminance Masks by Tony Kuyper - http://goodlight.us/writing/tutorials.html

Though I'm no native speaker I hope you understand what I'm saying in the video and can use some of the techniques for your postprocessing.

PS: unfortunately the colors in the video seem to have become a little messed up during capture.

  • What is that Crtl+Shif+F? Verblassen is German word..

  • @TheMorgalion Genau, das ist der shortcut für den Verblassen Dialog. Grüße

  • PS: I also recommend to get the whole actions pack with all the tutorials from tony. Such a great source of learning and inpiration and as mbmark says you'll gain hours of shooting.

  • How can I blending two photos without Tony Kuyper's action?

  • @Nordavind1709: Sure you don't need tony's actions. Take a look at Tony's tutorials. He has a free tutorial on how to create luminance masks.

With this tutorial you're able to create you're own actions. You'll also find a lot other interesting stuff on his tutorial side.
