  • Bobby will be dead in December of 1973, just 10 months after this clip. He was a very talented man. Just saw one of his movies, Hell is For Heroes this morning. He's a great actor too!

  • He had rhemautic fever as a child, which led to heart complications and was not expected to live. He passed way too soon and is sorely missed.

  • Calling out Ronald Reagan, while looking dead in the camera's eye! He was Cali Gov at this time. the more I see of BD, the more I love. Nice harp solo, too...

  • Now thats talent! ;)

  • He was awesome!

  • @davesharon5747 Wow, what a multi talented man he was.

  • @Grifiki my dad died due to complications of rheumatic fever when he was a child.

  • It is hard to believe that in less than a year after this was filmed, Bobby would be dead. RIP!

  • Bobby was a musical genius, and it is so unfortunate that his life was shortlived. I was stationed at Ft Dix New jersey in1960 as a young kid from Texas when my friends from NY City began telling me about Bobby. He was already a superstar, and there was no limit to what he would have accomplished had he lived a full life.

  • This guy rocked that harmonica! I saw Beyond the Sea a couple of days ago and wanted to dig deeper about him. Looking at all these youtube footage of him, I have soooo much respect for him. I only knew him from the Beyond the Sea and Mack the Knife songs. I never never knew this guy had soul and play all these instruments! Amazing!!

  • Who is the saxist in the Tonight Show Orchestra that wails?

  • @Grifiki Please get your facts straight. He died because of a congenital illness as the other comment said..Please don't make up things and ruin this forum.
