Twenty Four Eyes. mat-chan

Mat-chan was forced to leave school(which she dearly loved) to help with the family. Her family leaves for the city. Later, on a class field trip, the teacher stumbles upon an eatery where Mat-chan happens to be working. Mat-chan is now working across the sea but close by in this town, and not in the city where everyone thought. I have no subtitles for this scene, but you don't need it. It is heart wrenching.

This movie is so outstanding. I cried starting from these scenes until the end. The ending in particular is a killer. Have about 10 boxes of Kleenex tissues to cry into.

映画「二十四の瞳」の数多い名シーンの中でも、極め付きの

まさに涙なくしては、観る事ができません。

昨今の「登校拒否児」の子供たちに、このシーンだけでも

切り取って見せてみたいもんです。(もっとも、先生方が困られま­すか？）

この映画の中でもこのシーンは泣けて泣けて仕方がありません。

まっちゃんが船を見送りながら泣くシーンは大の男が号泣物です。­。

日本がまだ貧しく、初等教育すら誰もが受けることが叶わなかった­時代、

現代の子供たちは何の不安もなく学校に行ける幸せを感じて欲しい­ですね。
