@eriiiiiiiiiii I was just going to say that myself after hearing Pixel Dan attribute Skeletor's bare feet to the 2002. Good catch. I misplaced my "Power of Point Dread/ Danger at Castle Grayskull" storybook (talon fighter pack-in), but the back cover has my favorite full color printing of the the original card-back art.

Ive never been a fan of the 200x line, the characters seem to evilish looking even the heroric warriors like Heman seem evil, I like the 80s line better and the New Adventures of Heman has this anime feeling also.

They gonna do a Battle Armor Skeletor?

You can clearly see that Skeletor is wearing wrist armor, yet, they still painted it in his light blue skin color and not the dark Purple color of his armor, looks weird, but hey, this was also on the original figure from 1982, so it seems to me that they stayed faithful to it with the MOTU Classics Skeletor...still kinda bugs me though.

the new one looks like a giant next to the 80's one.
skeletor was the most must have figure at that time and i think collectors have the same urge 2 collect them now like they did when they were kids.

i will be getting skeletor for my collection soon
The classics line figures are based on one thing only.....the art depiction of the original line shown on the back of the original card backs. When you look at a vintage figure card back and observe the original figures as they were advertised compared to the new classics line, they match. There is nothing about the 2002 line that inspired the look of the new classics.

This is true to a point. Mostly it is the case with characters like the original 8-backs, such as Skeletor here. But Mattel has said that they will be using a mix of the 2002 elements in some cases. I think the biggest instance of this would obviously be King Grayskull.
But for figures like He-Man, Skeletor, and Beastman, yes...for the most part they are based off of the original artwork.

Luckily I got this figure as early as I did, heh. It doesn't go on sale until January 15th.
So, it'll probably be a bit until my next MOTUC review. Not until mid January at least. :)
