The movie shows Pashmina weaving workshop in Srinagar, Kashmir India. All the job is done by experienced men some by women. Some big size pashmina shawls needs one and half year to be finished!

  • This is beautiful, I am planning a trip to Srinagar in April. I ould love to buy one of these precious shawls from this vendor. Can you send me the details. It will be highly appreciated.

  • Even having been a weaver, this is Wow! impressive - especially following a pattern. Also, it's really difficult to work with such fine, fine materials.

The guy doing the guiding needs to know more about the terminology - he never mentions warp and weft. I would rather have heard and seen that woman giving the tour. But...

I wish the cameraman's work was a bit more focused on materials and work rather than the men (not just their faces but their mid-sections) and windows.

  • Wow that seem to be alot work
