  • My pads seem perfectly responsive unmodded. Is it still a good idea to do the penny mod?

  • @MdXMaxX if they seem perfectly responsive, i'd say no

but, i've never played on a cobalt that was perfectly responsive. every one that i have played on is total shit unless i play using a very specific play style (stepping in the center of the arrows instead of in the inner edges). if i stray from that at all, i get pad misses.

obviously, from watching the video, you can probably see that the modded version works fine for me :D

  • @kaleklol My cobalt flux is almost perfect, and i didn't mod. but i do get pad misses

  • @kaleklol Meh, I tried it anyway because I'm the type of person who just has to tinker with stuff.

Good news: I feel like my excellent count is much higher.

Bad news: I'm getting many more misfires than before.

The one I modded is very broken in, so maybe the panels are too flat for this mod. I'll play around with it and see what happens.

I've only placed the pennies closest to the center, however. Do you think adding the other pennies will help with the misfires?

  • what makes it modded

  • Hi!, I was reading bemanistyle and I found this... I have a Cobalt Flux too, I clean it like 1 time per 3 days, and I get random non-combos after 2 days, generally are on ITG, I think is because the place where I play is dirt, therefore, sometimes the same day after 4 hours of play (lol) I get misses and stuff, so I read you used pennies for making it really good, can you explain me exactly what does pennies do? I would like to try them out but I don't want to damage my pad

    Thanks in advice =)
