@TheTodd1023 "Amos 5 is rebuking those who sound like David outwardly but are not praising God inwardly." I cannot agree with this. By your logic, how would it be possible to discern which so called Christian bands have Gods approval? Amos 5 has nothing positive to say, so why would God want to malign Davids music with such negativity? From Ezekiel 26:13, Isaiah 14:11 the language from God is the same, Music is refereed to as 'noisy' God uses the same language to describe Satan's music.

@TheTodd1023 Cont.... In part I agree with this, motives are weighed by the Lord, by their fruits you shall know them, out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks, a good tree does not produce bad fruit. But if the heart was good people wouldn't be selfish, they wouldn't force their garbage music onto others, if the heart was good they wouldn't use Satan's music in the church and if the heart was good they wouldn't allow music to divide the church.

@outbackcafe The reasons why Davids name is mentioned is because David loved to praise Christ. The reason why God loves praise the way David gave praise is because of where his heart was. Amos 5 is rebuking those who sound like David outwardly but are not praising God inwardly. It is a matter of the heart and only God can see that aspect of a man, He has reserved that call for Him and Him only.

@TheTodd1023 "I see Christ as a father figure, a loving, doting and compassionate father. Jesus instructs us to be as little children to Him, that 100% no holds barred trust of a child. I have not always had that view. I viewed God as a legalistic umpire waiting for a reason to punish. Nothing is a bigger lie." Nice! Jesus was also tough, he overturned the tables of the money changers, called people hypocrites and devils etc. I like this one "My house shall be called a house of prayer"

@TheTodd1023 "Amos 5 is not speaking against David" No not directly but it aligns him with the same rebuke.
You have to ask yourself this question if there is nothing wrong with Davids music then why even align David with these evil people? Why even mention his name? It is more than obvious God is being critical of Davids music. Yes he was a great man after Gods own heart but at times, he was also a very selfish man.

@TheTodd1023 "Mt 11: 25-26 " What is the significance about this verse? Mt 26:30. "When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives". Thanks for that great verse, it supports my case. Read 1 Samuel Chapters 9 to 10 It confirms the fact that God did not want the Israelite's to have a King but gave them what they wanted rather than what they needed. Once again David was a worldly king who had a man killed so he could sleep with his wife. He made mistakes simply as that

@outbackcafe Mt 11: 25-26 and Mt 26:30 Jesus praises God. David was also a man after Gods own heart. In Samuel 13:14 "But now your kingdom shall not continue. nThe Lord has sought for Himself a man oafter His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have pnot kept what the Lord commanded you.”

@outbackcafe Amos 5 is not speaking against David. It is for those who do not praise Christ with the right heart. The reason for asking you how you see Christ is critical to how you act in Christ. I see Christ as a father figure, a loving, doting and compassionate father. Jesus instructs us to be as little children to Him, that 100% no holds barred trust of a child. I have not always had that view. I viewed God as a legalistic umpire waiting for a reason to punish. Nothing is a bigger lie.

@outbackcafe I am not getting why Job, Daniel and Samuel are in the parenthesis with Jesus, can you clarify?
Hello brother. I wanna protest. Well. David also committed adultery, and because God knows everything, so that was in front of God as well. The scripture that you provided doesn't say that God praised David for dancing. So that scripture is a no no. Also verse 22 says that it's vile to dance. why would you wanna be vile? Also verse 22 says that by dancing David was seeking honor among maidservants. I don't think that this is what God wants.

@onlinepolice well it says praise him with dance in the bible so i dont know where your going with that? it says david danced before the Lord...

@onlinepolice Bible says "praise him with dance" Psalm 150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and "DANCE": praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
