  • Hey, c'mon! $103,00 for AUTOMATIC backup of UNLIMITED files for THREE YEARS is a pretty good business decision. It's very much like one of the main arguments of the new Chrome Laptop: Instant online data recovery. But in this case, I don't need to buy a new computer! In fact I don't even keep a computer for three years... but now i might!

  • You can download this software for free at MediaHazard(dot)com!

  • If you're upgrading from XP (fresh install) you're going to need a back up somewhere. If you're upgrading from Vista (not fresh install), you might want to back it up just in case, but most everything in your documents, music, videos, and pictures folders should be ok.

    Both are upgrades, technically.

  • The most important thing that lots of people forget is to KEEP SOME BACKUPS OFF SITE!!!

Your external backup is no good if you have a fire or something and it is sitting right next to your main drive is it ?

  • Why use this, wtf ?

Just use the free trucrypt encription app.

Encrypt your files to keep them safe.

Then make as many accounts as you need at some where like 4shared or some orther hosting service. Tehn you get 5gb of free space at a time.

Ok max upload size per file is 100mb but i just .rar the files into 100mb chunks and encrypt and store.

Not automated but good enough for imprtant docs & programs etc.

  • when upgrading to windows 7, not a fresh install. would i lose my files if i don't backup my files. for example my pc games file. would i loose them if i use the windows 7 upgrade disc?

  • yes it is.. if you need less than 5 gigs

  • is backing up files on a dvd disk a good idea?

  • Very good review

  • Thanks for your help, it's a great ideea.

Keep Up The Good Work !
