FGM is where some or all of the external genitalia is cut away (excised) and the remaining skin is sewn back together. This practice "prepares" girls for marriage but leads to all kinds of health issues including shock and bleeding to death.

@todanp Male Circumcision should only be done as a necessity after much consideration; The fact that it is practised widely at birth doesn't mean it isn't a deplorable, pointless procedure.

@LindNadja So what your saying is if a man is tortured in some way that’s ok as long as THE WOMAN is not. My point is it’s not ok for either so how a bout looking at both sides for once and stop thinking its only woman that are being singled out.
