How to connect Apogee ONE with iPad!

... And yes.. You have a lot of options for mobile recording under 100$
I choose the ONE two years ago, and I use it mostly with my MacBook for record quickly ideas and demos, but it's cool have it working with iPad cause is more portable and quality for constant travel musician.

By the end of this month apogee will release JAM and MIKE, input jack and microphone both compatible with Macs and iPads and more portable because you don't need the bridge with an external USB powered hub. Also the battery operated Alesis Studio dock is on the way, more flexible including MIDI.

But for now this is a pristine sound solution! And more portable (if you're too lazy to get your MacBook on the road)
I tried this connetion in the past without results, so I suspect that Apple include some kind of apogee driver or a better core audio driver with the release of iOS 4.3

Thoughts ?

  • hey great video what apps are you using ?

  • @AziBETV Multitrack DAW, funkbox, AmpKit and Thumbjam

  • Bro the mic worked for me so thanks!!! but I cant get the electric guitar insert to work, i even tried changing the inputs but when i did that and plugged it in, it doesnt even power on.. help?

  • @MrGuitarMods go back to the Mac for change the input channel, then try the connection again from the beginning, it's an anoying process. Try the new Apogee JAM, it's better solution.

  • Sounds Great!!! What kind of recording applications do you have on your iPad? I just bought an iPad myself and would like to know! ;) Cheers!

  • @Concorde1992 Best recorder IMO is "MultitrackDAW" and Ampkit for guitar (with amp & speaker cabinet simulations)

  • @iOSMusician5 i don't know, i think the best option right now is Apogee Jam, Cheaper and portable than ONE or Duet

  • @henryshell I don't think it works, cause duet is Firewire, maybe duet 2? wich is usb

  • I wonder if it'll work with my apogee duet? Hmmm..

  • hey, great video. does this stil work in iOS 5? also, what is the brand name and model of that USB hub? Thanks!
