Turbo B18 Civic Monster-Osity

This was just a joke as I was bored. I had a bunch of spare stuff lying around and decided to put them to good use entertaining myself. THIS IS NOT MY MAIN VEHICLE, AND IS JUST A SPARE PLAY TOY THAT I PLAY WITH AND ABUSE ON THE SIDE WHEN I'M BORED! I recomend that you don't try this at home, but if you do, don't blame me if something goes wrong, and of course get it on camera! The turbo is a tired old Turbonetics T3/T4 (as seen by the smoke) with an old TIAL 35mm wasegate, the 'charge piping' is a vacuum cleaner hose that has been electrical taped to the compressor outlet!!! The 'fuel management' is a 12:1 FMU. I didn't expect this to work AT ALL, but to my surprise it held pressure and ripped the tires off in the first few gears! :) I couldn't believe it / couldn't stop laughing. Hey it beats sitting around picking my nose ;)

Whats up man? i have a 97 ls integra i plan on turboin it on a ebay turbo set up. new ebayt3/t4,ebay cast mani, turbonetics WG, the wrest is ebay shit. i also plan on running the 12.1 fmu. how well is it holding up.. running rich? and is ur disi retarded at all?.

I HEAR that the Ebay turbos aren't worth the time (but I also have NO experience with them personally so I can't say for sure). Apparently the tolerances are brutal, and the material is shite (which I could see). The Turbonetics WG should be great, and the rest (BOV, Piping, Intercooler, etc) should be just fine for you from Ebay. I'd go with a leaner FMU, as I ended up making my own regulator/bleeder circuit to lean it out. Stock 12:1 is WAY too rich. Dist wasn't moved, had no problems at 10psi

UPDATE: This POS has been taken out a few times (with some slight tweaks and additions) and has beaten; -Twin turbo MR2,

-well modified H22 EG hatch,

-slightly modified Turbocharged 2010 Mazda Speed 3,

-SRT4 with minor bolt ons,

- Mustang GT,

-SEVERAL Skylines (unkown models but they got spanked)

-Silvia

-Supercharged B16a EK hatch at 20psi Just to name a few worth while runs :)

LoL, yep, it's all set up and put back together now though with nice aluminum piping and front mount intercooler with Apexi BOV. That was only 4psi, now it's running 10 lbs/in^2 and is hella fun to beat on :) ... I'll haveto get some more videos up of me beating on it. I'll prob just sell it to some Honda Horny kid though since I don't really want it sitting around my place lol.
