During the 40-day summer immersion program, which includes backpacking, kayaking, rock-climbing and so much more, students spend over 50 hours working on their English writing skills. One of the most wonderful parts of the program is the public poetry reading, which this year took place on July 28th at the Cedar House Hotel in Truckee.
A *big* thank you to the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation and the Cedar House Sports Hotel for their generous sponsorship of the event.
ARC community members were all treated to ten amazing and inspirational readings delivered by students who put their hearts and hard work into their poems. Thanks to all who attended, and to everyone who has helped to make this program possible.
