now if u mean a WR in the preliminary heats, ok, sure, but NO one is ever gonna do that. they don't push themselves hard enough. only the guys who barely can make the final are runnin' at 100%. top contenders are goin' about 96%

To Compare Michael Phelps Vs. Usain Bolt:
Running = Way more competition - more sports requiring it - people involved in those sports (football, soccer, ect.) will usually cross-train track sometime during their training if it is competitive.
Swimming = Hell of a lot less competition.
Usain 3Golds(3WR) Phelps 8G(7WR 1OR)
If track had random runs like 1/200m side shuffle and 1/200m backwards run ect., Bolt could easily have won 8G(WR) or more golds.

Hopefully Bolt sticks with endorsements with Puma, they are way better than Nike. Too many athletes go with the American trend, nike, nike, nike. I'm sick of it! Lets go Puma and Adidas! Bolt isn't American, so why should we act like he is? He won those medals for Jamaica!
