Jeffrey Mengler's vision and leadership continue to strengthen and improve Scouting and our community at all levels. He served as Committee Chairman for Pack 152, Assistant Scout Master, and Scoutmaster for Troop 46. In the Fox Valley District, he was on the Cub Day Camp Staff, Winterall Staff, OLS Instructor, Training Academy Staff, and Boy Scout Roundtable Commissioner. He has received his Wood -Badge, Scouter's Training Award, Scouter's Key, District Award of Merit, and Unit Leader Award of Merit. He's also a registered Merit Badge Counselor.
A proud parent of an Eagle Scout, Jeffrey and his wife Deb live in St. Charles. For the past ten years Jeffrey has been a Religious Education Instructor at Batavia United Methodist Church, a member of the Society of Wetlands Scientists; and the Natural Areas Association. Professionally he has been the Chair for the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission Technical Advisory Committee, Co-Chaired a national conference of the Society of Wetlands scientists, served as the primary author of "Illinois Native Plant Guide" (1997), and is recognized nationally for his expertise in wetlands biology and reclamation.
