Once Upon a Time - Labyrinth

A music video to Labyrinth that I made a very long time ago. . . it still holds a very special place in my heart.

You can see that in part it also inspired my creation of the trailer for my Labyrinth Fanfic, The Unseen.

During the time I re-discovered Labyrinth and fell in love with it, I was also in love with this song. For me, the two went together unquestionably in my mind - and this video represents how I felt watching the movie and identified with the story. It's choppy in places and the song doesn't have the effect on me that it once did, but I think the magic of the moment in my life I was unintentionally capturing will always be there in this video.

I was very suprised/flattered to find that my video was already on YouTube, so I decided to upload a better copy of it on my own account since the version you can find isn't very good quality.

I went out to your web site and read the original prologue, and found it answered a lot of questions I've always had about your concept. I think part of that original should have been left, as "the current" really doesn't give a full idea of what "unseen" really means and how those lives in the story pulled together.

I'm glad you're weaving Sarah's tale in with it. I always felt some part of her was missing and left a gap.

I've always struggled between the "original" prologue and the "current" prologue, which is part of the reason I have it up on my site - maybe I'll get it to a place I like someday. Maybe not. I'm going to keep trying.

I'm glad Sarah is coming in to the story, too - I don't think before I was ready to share the story of my original character with Sarah. But now, the story feels empty somehow without her. . .

It's called "Labyrinth" and it's about a girl who accidently wishes away her baby brother to the Goblin King. In order to get him back, she has to travel through the Labyrinth. It's a really awesome movie, giving a short description of what it's about really doesn't do it any justice - you should watch it ;-)
