( http://www.abnova.com ) - TRIzol® is a mono-phasic solution of phenol and guanidine isothiocyanate. It is a ready-to-use reagent for the isolation of total RNA from cells and tissues. After addition of TRIzol® and chloroform, phase separation is created by centrifugation. RNA is present in the aqueous phase and can be recovered by precipitation with isopropanol or ethanol. • @willvet61 Hehe lol spermatozoa :))

  • @willvet61 Jerk of and take your sperm´. Mix it and centrifuge it for 35000g at 54hours at 65C

  • I am looking for the best method of RNA extraction from spermatozoa. Someone know or have suggestions about?

    Thank you

  • is it considered good form to simply pour the supernatant out like that? Wouldn't it be much less risky to pipet the supernatant out?

  • @BrianK0220 you get an alcohol reaction which may damage the RNA

  • What happens if you don't remove the isopropanol before washing with ethanol?
