Working as a Pilot, you enjoy one of the world's best views. It takes more than flight time, however, to learn how to safely transport passengers and cargo. You need to develop good judgment and decision-making skills. Plus, you need a thorough understanding of the principles of safe flight, instrumentation, FAA rules, and navigation.
When you study to become a Pilot at Baker, you begin flight training in your very first term. You learn from FAA-licensed instructors and build your skills, starting with your private Pilot rating, and then working your way through instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and flight instructor ratings. You also develop an understanding of aviation meteorology, aircraft operations and performance, and other specialized knowledge, so that when you graduate, you are fully prepared to start your career in aviation.
