Hmmm. Republicans controlled Congress from 1995 to 2007. Republicans controlled the entire government from 2001 to 2007. Dems had no power to legislate or regulate.

The current crisis has NOTHING to do with deregulation. How much regulation was imposed is irrelevant. What matters is the KIND of regulation, and the regulation that Democrats conceived and implemented under both Carter and Clinton was psychotic! The Bush administration attempted to intervene in the situation and reform the laws time and time again, only to be labeled a racist and hater of the poor by leftists like Barney Frank, Maxine Waters and Chris Dodd. Democrats CAUSED THIS PROBLEM!!!
