Sunderland RNLI's D Class Inshore Lifeboat being launched and recovered using the new "man-riding" cradle which has been specially designed by RNLI Engineers at Poole.
@DunksXD - It is not slow at all. The boat can be in the water and away within 10 mins of the request. The davit was already in place for our larger A85 lifeboat, so the additional cost was only for the trolley.
It seems incredibly slow and expensive.... but I appreciate that you guys know best :) mind telling me what model of outboard that is?

The outboard is a 50HP 4 stroke Mariner engine.
