When Nathan Myhra was a boy growing up in Fargo
He spent the winters wishing he was on a beach in Key Largo (possibly)
And when Nathan grew up he looked around
Packed up his shit and moved from town to town
He got himself a job that would keep him on the move
Flying high in the sky like he knew he should
He lives in one city
And works in another
At least a thousand miles away -- that's so crazy!
Clearly this dude has got the itch to see
All types of things and places to be
In fact he reminds me a lot of me
And adventurous soul that makes the heart beat
'Cause Nathan now lives in Chicago
The place where I lived just two years ago
Which isn't that weird except for one thing
The place where he lived is where I currently sing -- San Francisco
We're trading places with a million places to go
We're trading places from the sunshine to the snow
We're crossing paths
Using separate maps
But somehow I just now that we will find where each other is at
'Cause when our journeys reach the end, I know I will find you friend
We're trading places...
