Before we begin, I would like to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for my life, and all the gifts which I've been given in it, including the ability to make this extension. Your name be glorified, my Savior, even in something as small as this. Amen.

"Enjoy the worst time of your lives!"

A frozen heart befits a queen of ice. But even the coldest of hearts can be overcome by the strongest -- and kindest -- of souls. Hello gang, welcome to another episode of Amateur Extension Theater 2000! I'm your happily chilled and partly frozen, winter-loving host, Alkahest.

Wild Arms 5 is the second-to-most recent entry in Media Vision and Sony Computer Entertainment's WA series. It is also one of only two entries to the WA series where Michiko Naruke did not compose any of the music; Wild Arms XF (pronounced Crossfire) is the second. Naruke's compositional style is emulated at points, but for the most part Masato Kouda and Noriyasu Agematsu use their own approach for WA5's soundtrack... the results are really quite impressive and enjoyable, happily enough.

'At the Frozen Depths of the Heart' is technically two themes in one: the first is a slow moving, ethereal melody heard when our heroes meet a cold, calculating individual known by some as the Ice Queen, while the second theme is heard when they challenge her to battle. However, I've chosen to extend only the second half, which is the battle theme.

Normally I'd have a lot more to say, but the truth is, I think this is one of those rare themes which can speak (and sort of sing) for itself. I need to get back to work on mastering Audacity so you kids'll have something to look forward to in the future, anyway... hope you enjoy!
