The effectiveness depends on a few things:

(1) correct treatments strategies;

(2) how long time you used.

If the treatments strategies just focus on symptom treatment, you may get some symptom less when you use medication. But you need use that forever.

If you use Chinese medicine(included in acupuncture), some patients get big improvement or clinical cure;some not. This also depend on how long time you use.

rubbish...my son constantly moves, it becomes worse when needing to do something, bu t it never goes except at sleep which takes ages due to the constant movements

Her movements appear voluntary to my mind, disappearing with intentional movement and when distracted.

"involuntary " movements appear when attention is focused on a particular area and disappear when attention is elsewhere.

Odd, bizzare, and inconsistant with a basal ganglia lesion. Demonstrates the overlap and difficulty in distinguishing between psychological and neurological conditions.

I was disagnosed with Sydenhams Chorea several years ago and was taking depakote to control the movements. I had acupuncture performed on me and after a few months it had completely resided and I no longer relied on depakote. The only time I feel the muscle contractions now is if i smoke weed or am very tired but the movements are not anywhere near as bad as they used to be. Thank you for sharing this video.
