Overtraining in a big myth, most people are under recovered. To ensure
that you are not under recovered, follow these fives steps to more
energy.

1. Get more sleep: 56 hours a week minimum, get naps on the weekend if
necessary
2. Stretch, foam roll and warm-up to loosen muscles and prime the body
3. Eat right, lots of veggies and clean food to keep inflammation at bay
4. Lots of water to flush toxins out
5. De-stress, seriously just enjoy yourself!

  • @chrisrobson Try some L-Glutamine. I've read some pretty solid research on it. Chef Buff, what are your thoughts??

  • @racsop70 Interesting idea, but glutamine is usually used for immune and gut health, and to mimic carbs on low-carb diets. Usually stress and lack of motivation is hormone related- specifically cortisol. I'd manage stress, up the green veggies, fish oil, and peri-work out nutrition (protein + carbs around work outs). As per supplements, to lower cortisol, look up phosphatidylserine, and if you want something in general to help you handle stress Rhodiola Rosea is solid, its a herb :)

  • yep, thanks again. remember u made a video about love handles, if i take all of those together i mean green tea, fish oil, and vinegar will it make the process of losing love handles faster?

  • @botanast Absolutely!

  • you can not catch up on sleep on the weekend, you miss it you miss it. it DOES NOT work like that. if anything your body will be use to your 6 hours a night and when you get that 11 hours your gonna be sluggish and tired all day.

  • this is hilarious haha

  • i snort my protein too. gets those aminos in the blood stream asap.

  • The only thing that comes close to overtraining is working out day in day out without progression and without a week rest in between each eight week routine. Your body recovery reaches its maximum after the first eight hours sleep from a heavy workout, the pain you feel in your muscles only subsides while sleeping!

  • FINALLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT!!! When you punish your body day in and day out every single day without any rest your body will adapt and recover giving you increased work load and more strength and endurance, ONLY When you continue to do this day after day, month after month for several years do you fall into the overtraining category. there is a massive misconception about overtraining!

  • You really think your funny, he

  • I respect your opinion and you have some solid points regarding sleep, nutrition, and water intake, but I disagree. You can definitely over train. I've experienced it firsthand.

  • hey man i train 4 times a day (everyday) for around 7 or so minutes consisting of quite high intensity body weight exercises. Each workout is almost exactly the same, of which i enjoy doing, and i wonder weather this is perhaps too much? i don't over exhort myself every session either and i venerate the exercises i commence in due to their enjoyability and effort required.

  • It doesn't take an olympic athlete to over train, man. People do it all of the time. I know people who will go to the gym for 2 hours a day and do crunches and curls. EVERY DAY. That is over training because your body can't handle that especially without any recovery time.

  • @Omarlsuf hey i thought working each body part a day is a good workout plan?some says that it could result in overtraining.so lifting weights everyday is bad?
