Perhaps the greatest European blues player ! Not just a guitar maestro, a multi instrumental musician, greta song writer and the greatest slide blues playler off all time, but he would never think so, or claim so..... this track from his birthday concert is I think the greatest blues number ever played on the BBC live

One of my 2 favourite ever Rory tracks, the only live electric version I've found. Have this on tape & DVD, Make my spine tingle every time. As does the incredible performance of Souped Up Ford from this gig. Wasn't he having a great 28th birthday?

Right now I'm feeling so blessed to be able to say I watched this man perform this magic and blow Ted Nugent off of the stage.It was a crime to have him open for a wannabe!

It sounds like voices of an astronaut who is in the outer space as Rory sings through the harmonica and it goes with the lyrics. What a brilliant job he does! Thanks for this great performance posting.

Thanks Padraig for uploading this gem. I can remember seeing this in the 70s and being totally blown away, especially Rory's Bluesharp playing & singing through his Bluesharp,and of course his hot Slide Guitar playing. He was one in a trillion and is sorely missed. Thanks mate

Yeah, i remember when i first saw him take off the guitar i was amazed, i'd never seen him without it on stage before, glad you enjoyed it too
