i think this scene is brillant. it's so intense!
i mean in movies like brokeback mountain you're always aware that is't boy-on-boy and they make it seem unnatural without wanting to. it makes it impossible to think of love, only to think: hey, that's so homosexual- aha, how mildly interesting.
in this scene, noone cares whether it's gay or straight. it's just love or passion and you can see they want it.
or, okay, at least günther really does..

@AllieMarat You're right with what you are saying about this scene, but when I was watching Brokeback Mountain I had the same thought...in some scenes, when they see each other again after a long time, you can see the same passion!!
Ah and you can really feel with Günther when Hans just walks away without kissing him...

@stillwaterguy04 I know I'm responding three years late. And maybe you already know this, but if you want a version with subtitles it's available on Netflix.

'Get lost' as a translation for 'Hau ab' is totally not getting it.
Hau ab: Get out of here!/ Go away/Piss off/Clear out
Hau ab aus meinem Leben: Get out of my life

@TheTurdpile Hello! Since you're German, I was hoping you could answer this question of mine. :)
I'm confused about the meaning of "Hau' ab". When I was watching this on DVD the subtitles translated "Hau' ab!" as "Get lost!" But then for "Hau' ab aus meinen Leben" it was translated as "Get out of my life." Basically, I'm wondering what "Hau' ab" means and how it works in both sentences?
Thank you!!
