I'm a support worker in a residential in Australia. I get asked the "How do you relate?"question, too. I tell people I'm the same as the guys: I look to like and be liked by others, just like they do. I expect strangers to treat me with courtesy and goodwill, just like they do. And when we're out in public and people stare, I look to the guys to see how to behave and emulate them.

When I was 10 I was given the great privilege of working with Downs' syndrome children. They were all about 5. All I can say is that they were angelic. I mean that in a literal sense. Spiritually they were uplifting to be around. They were beacons of light. I don't know a better way to express it. I shall never forget those hours and I am now 53 years old.

Well ...not to be literal on you or anything, but...I'M NOT THERE! I wasn't there! And they're far away from where I live! So THEY CAN'T HEAR US!
