Jamming for the purpose of showing off this gorgeous Gibson ES-335. Check out the built in crank on the tuners towards the end...I kind of use one to get a whammy bar like dive. I am plugged straight into my Fender Super Sonic amp with an Avatar 2x12 extension cab. All 3 speakers are Hellatone 30's. There are no effects besides the built in reverb (just a touch) and the gain/distortion. This was recorded with my trusty Nikon Coolpix 3200 digital camera set on video mode with the built in mic so the sound (and picture) quality kind of sucks. But you can still get a good idea of the guitars tone and what it is capable of. I'll be listing it for sale tonight on eBay and I'll mention the Rare Translucent Brown finish in the title. Thanks for watching and feel free to rate & comment on it.

  • Is somebody typing or furiously eating nuts in the background ?

  • @lucaso777 Making Popcorn...lol...it was the camera...I got a real video cam after my 20th video...sorry for the poor quality on these old ones..

  • @ 1:48 i detect the exact intro to eric claptons b4 you accuse me, live at knebworth version.

  • @atourdeforce He was one of my early influences and when I go to the neck pickup and roll off the tone, it's almost like going into Eric Clapton mode (...sometimes Santana). That said, I think I got that riff from Paul Chapman of UFO...When It's Time To Rock off the album Making Contact.

  • its to keep the sustain up and not have to repluck the string. i do it all the time and it also introduces feed back. it dosent hurt the guitar because your not really hitting it like hard as it looks like he is but he ain't. just a tip that all not meaning to be a jerk

  • the es 335 is a great instrument for alternative, blues, and rock

  • @Stevespeeze I love Vox amps but couldn't use say an AC15 or an AC30 for every situation like I can this and while I like their modeling amps better than any other company, it's not like using a real all tube amp...and this one is so versatile...one of these days I'll do an actual demo of the amp to show its' range.

  • @greengtrs

I might get me one of these amps , i was gonna get a vox but this one sounds nice.

  • holy crap cant wait to get mine :D

  • @greengtrs

that is one of the best distortion sounds I've ever heard. I have to get one of those amps

  • @popomczowzow Hi...that is just the natural tube gain on the amp (the "burn" channel)...thanks!
