Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel tho. I had a silver fox which died around her first birthday. It really tore me up, she was my little buddy.

I just want to say Thank You all.... For the many kind comments and support you have offered me.
Although I am still crying when reading these comments it's a good crying - and heals my heart to know that not everyone thinks foxes are nasty creatures - and most importantly that there are so many people who actually care about our wildlife and have no wish for it to be destroyed.

I would give all my possessions to turn back time and not leave her at the vets for treatment, because I know in my heart that she would have had less seizures at home where she was comfortable. I hate myself for leaving her - but after all the vets are supposed to know what best for them.

I am not going to be able to stop myself this year from driving all of the back roads in case I come upon a dead vixen who might have baby's who need help!
On one hand I really want a fox again because they are such amazing and interesting creatures - even if they are harder work than all other pets put together!
But on the other, even if by grace or luck I had this one in a thousand chance again - it wouldn't be her, and it would feel too much like trying to replace her.

The majority of the video was taken after she had been with me for a week or so - around 4 1/2 weeks at a guess - when she was first rescued we think she was only 3 1/2 weeks because her back legs were very underdeveloped like she hadn't been walking around for very long.
She was so cute and used to almost tip over with her back legs raising off the ground whenever she put her head down toward the floor.
I remember how relieved I was when she learnt to lap at water/milk - and I am sure she lear
