@EvilNightmarewitch chinchilla live up to roughly 20 years, so they need time to form a trusting relationship with the owner. start by letting your hands dangle in the cage, don't make any sudden movements, and let the chinchilla come to you. chasing your chinchilla will just instill the idea that it needs to run away from you. eventually the chinchilla will be comfortable enough to hop into your hands from the cage; just pet it, give it a treat, and let it go back if it wants to.

ussualy the run around everywhere and hate sitting still for more than two seconds
