Piper, please, for the sake of the flock you see and don't see (me), stop dealing with Rick Warren. He's over here talking about "gay friends" and whatnot. You know, brother, you have a responsibility to your flock that is greater than the responsibility to your own conscience. This is just out of love for you as my brother, and no condemnation here, you are a man of God. I'm on your side and God's side, not Warren's side, and I think several of our brothers would agree. Unfortunately, many people don't do their research on rick warren, he is a chameleon, he has two points of view on homosexuality, he contradicts himself, he has invited muslim and new age people to talk to saddleback, either he has an agenda, or he is totally deceived by satan, remember that if satan could lie to the angels in heaven even when they could see God's glory, he can lie to anybody, discernment people, discernment.

Im not the biggest fan of saddleback church. I feel that it promotes being a Christian consumer. Its sort of a social circle more than a church. I personally do not support Rick Warren. I feel that if Piper lived in Orange County, he would know what i was talking about

Piper is sane enough to recognize that Luther, Calvin and John MacArthur are not the Trinity - & that alone is enough to taint him in the eyes of those who worship Reformed theology and not God himself. Those slamming Piper here tell the world much more about themselves than they elucidate anything about Piper or Warren.

It is ludicrous to seek theological or doctrinal "purity" but spit in Christ's face by smearing others who love Jesus, but differ on finer points of Reformed Theology. Insane.
