  • I knew there was a Kevin movie that again got a lot of people angry about it again but I never looked into what it was or watched a tailor for it. I am glad I didn't expect what was coming. I just watched it since it's out. (In Utah they wouldn't play it in theaters.) OMG, Great movie again Kevin! You tell stories very well! Suspenseful, strong emotions towards the characters and A+ on the fucking end man. Makes me laugh at people who want to keep your movies from the public.

  • hate how he's gonna stop directing movies. it's his life obviously, but as a fan of his movies it really sucks to think he's just going to flat out stop for no real reason. who cares if you can't think of anything worth putting on film now, that doesn't mean you have to sign on to make crap movies. take a couple years off in between movies if you have to. you have an army of followers, why surrender?

  • action + good director + sense= red state, Awesome movie!

  • Holy crap i saw red state on thursday and was shocked that anyone could give it a bad review, Kevin Smith managed to keep everyone in the theatre on the edge of their seat and take you on a roller coaster ride and he did it without a score in the moive which makes the whole thing have a much darker and more real vibe, Bravo Smith, Bravo

  • Saw it today - I loved it!

But, to hear that Kevin Smith is running out of ideas? That's a shame. I was in the cinema thinking he's hit a curveball with Red State - ie, this is a turning point in his career. I was expecting to see all kinds of new stories with a Kevin Smith twist.

Still, after his next movie, he may wake up one morning with a new idea he feels compelled to write and make.

    Hopefully.

    Anyway, the movie was great.

The only people who could find it boring are people who don't appreciate plot, character development, or dialogue.

It seems to me that's exactly the sort of person who would have no time for Kevin Smith.

(Unlike Kevin Smith's films, it also has glorious cinematography, but it's possible to look great and still be boring.)

  • godfather 1 SUCKS... yes it does its ok to say it boring as all hell!!! Edit out maybe 35 minutes of it and it might be a good film.
