In the U.S., residences account for approximately 17 percent of the country's greenhouse gas emissions. The main culprits are electricity, boilers and furnaces, and trash.

David Pocklington and Shane Matteson of Energy Conservation Solutions visited my home in Georgia to undertake an energy audit. The idea was to find areas where energy was being lost. The goal two-fold: save power and reduce the utility bill.
