I am not a religious or spiritual man, but I've been here four times and always feel contentment here. It's a quiet place of beauty and reflection. And I thinkj it comes from the idea that a simple man had a dream and, unlike most of us, proved what he was made of by actually doing something about it with his own two hands. It's a man's life work that you'll see here and that's something very, very special. A man who lived his faith and kept his word. I encourage you to visit.

Love the weird US stuff, but it was pretty rude to be man-handling the rock like that knowing it said no touching

I've been here many many times. relatives lived in West Bend growing up, and I've returned several times as an adult.

I'm a Travel RN and I just arrived in Iowa for a new assignment. A friend told me about this shrine...I can't wait to go see it...It looks amazing!

For those of you who have not had the pleasure of visiting this sacred place, I suggest you take the time to do so. I was first there many years ago and was then and still am in complete awe of it's beauty and significance in today's world. Truly a work of art.

Thank you for this. My grandmother took us to the Grotto every summer when we were growing up and we loved it. I haven't been back in over 15 years so seeing this video just made my day.
