He said that he didn't favor passing the Dream Act as a stand alone policy. Many Republicans support the principles of the Dream Act. However, many Republicans are not in favor of creating another magnet for illegal immigration until we have better enforcement mechanisms in place. Like an overhaul of our visa system that puts greater emphasis on skills and economic contribution, as opposed to family ties.
