River crossing gone bad. Jeep gets washed away in deep current after glacier melt on a warm sunny day. Vehicle recovered 6 months later.

  • yea jims creek is definetly the meca in the anchorage municipality. when i go wheelin i like to go out to alpine creek lodge on the denali highway some good trails out there.

  • @jeepman95100 You like the Denali Hywy you should park at the trial head approx 5 miles west of McLaren River Lodge south side. Exit Denali Hywy to left where a trail take you on to the other side of small un-named chain lakes, there is a parking area there. Take the trail back over Moore's Mtn. and you can go all the way back to the McLclaren River. You won't get a truck in there. Take xtra gas and a couple of 4 wheelers and don't go in w/o a winch and anchor. Beautiful Country! Cheers.

  • I hate wheelin Jims creek. Its the Bermuda triangle of 4 wheeling...something always goes wrong yet people flock there like its the only place to go wheelin.

Should be re named "New military guys living in AK don't know any better and off road here creek"

I know I was one of them!

  • @149281 Yes it's always a zoo out at Jim Creek, knda link a circus. I always liked getting past the beaver ponds about 9 miles in towards the glacier. That is where you separate the boys from the men.

  • By the Jesus that’s got to be Cccold!!!!!

What's with all the haters out there these guys know how to have fun, it must be pissing off the haters because they have to go out to get a new buss pass.

  • @Mostlyfun The haters maybe are too high strung, maybe mad because life has passed them by??? This video is a good life learning lessen about choosing. Life is like traveling, It's not the destination, it's all about the trip.

  • @jeepman95100

That is Metal Creek, quite a bit in further than Jim Creek.

  • recommend toyota??? may stand a chance maybe not

  • hahahahah woow

  • wow

  • I got teary eyed over this, haha....

I love my Jeep, I wouldnt have been able to leave it, I would bought scuba gear and a god damn crane to get it out or something lmao

  • My Dad's a TV repairman. He's got an awesome set of tools. I can fix it.

  • music ruins perfectly good video. What does music have to do with a jeep making a crossing attempt???????????????????????

  • flood:1

    jeep: 0

    You have balls!!!

    nice video

  • @SebastianLong Your a fucking idiot .the only thing that was salvaged from that jeep was the rear portion off the tub EVERY other part was trashed .

And your whole idea of walking on water like the Jeep VS snowmachine....... that jeep has light weight components not a 1100lbs cummins and it was crossing smooth water in a lake not fast moving glacier runoff. not only that , the jeep from that video would never even have made it to where this video was made because its over 20 miles
