  • unbielievable skill great finish probably best goal ever in championship

  • This was the First Division, back then the equivalent of the Premiership, just to sell it out even further this was the top flight. That Ipswich team was the basis of Bobby Robson's England team.

  • Can you not just appreciate one moment of beauty; one act that makes football the greatest sport in the world; one instance that, despite what team you support, allows you to stand up and applaud? Who gives a fuq what he did or did not do after that? He could have opened a 'sofa-bed museum' after that and I'd still charge a glass to that goal.

  • Still the best goal I have ever seen.

  • @xxxpinksparklezxxx the kid was julian Darby, he played for bolton any years later

  • Does anybody know who that boy is behind the goal?

    My dad says its him!

  • i remember him, the quintessential midfield fancy dan

  • If Frank was Brazilian this great goal would of been shown all over the world and if it was nowadays he would of sponcered for life by Nike.Franks from the era where the lads played with their hearts and got payed fuck all compared with those prima donna cunts we have now.

  • he is still pissed up in huddersfield.genius

  • @StolenMonkey - Different types of goals of course - FW goal so special because its successful conclusion depends on a whole string of miracles one after the other coming off to perfection - I don't think any defence could have stopped that goal on that day - it happened too fast and was so unexpected - amazing instinct combined with technical accuracy - he even finds a split second to direct the ball past the keeper with his last touch where so many players would have blasted it over or wide.

  • @LPCLASSICAL i might be biased but i think Eddie Grey's goal against Burnley where he went past 8 players (some of them twice) was better . not saying this isnt good but Eddie for me takes it

  • Beautiful goal.

  • just shown this goal to my 11 yr old son, greatest goal ever, football education !
