My grandson Alex was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome in 1992. He is non-verbal but makes his needs known. He is very social and I thought it would be important to know him as quite ordinary when looking past his disability. He enjoys many of the things in life, that we do. He has been living with us since 1989. Music by Kevin MacLeod of Royalty-Free Music. incompetech.com

  • Indeed Alex is one of God's own angels !

  • @bleucollar Thank you! Most of the Angelman syndrome community call their Angelman children "angels". Their conditon and any other syndrome for that matter is not caused by God...it is part of the imperfection we inherited from our "first parents". We are looking forward to seeing Alex function in a perfect way. We look forward to that for ALL persons of the "normal" community. I thank you for viewing Alex's video and the nice comment and welcome you back!

  • He's such a handsome young man. This video really lightened my day just seeing how happy he is and how much of a sweetheart he is. I love that picture of him hugging his papa by the water, so cute. You're a truly blessed family to be able to have someone like Alex in your life, even if some days I'm sure can be a challenge. He really seems like a true joy to have around and such a loving young man. Thank you for sharing this video with us

  • @sammysmiles77 Thank you...The picture of him with his papa, hugging him is one of my favorites, too. And you have that right about Alex being loving,,,he is! He does not fail to impress us with his congnition skills...Thank you again!

  • Thanks for sharing! Seem like you are the perfect family for him! I have a 7 year old cousin that has this syndrome, it's amazing reading everyones comments. His man is adan and what he loves most is food (he can eat double what every one else eats), water, balloons, and most of all PLASTIC he loves the sound and to chew on it we do have to be careful. Again thanks for sharing! God bless

  • @PRINCESSVIANY05 Thank you for your kind comments. My Alex loves plastic, but care needs to be taken as they could swallow pieces and choke...a great appetite is what Alex has also! It is my intention to continue on Alex's progress and sharing the highs and lows of this journey! Vthank you and visit my site again!
