And to think we all thought Amish gnomes constructed these, instead of machines. What is this world coming to?

I made my GPU myself, you see I needed one for my time machine and it had to be a custom job

You have a 32bit OS. 1GB of your ram will be rendered useless.

If you have the money for a high-end, large gpu, you should have the money to spend on a full-tower case, its really that simple. You can't expect to run a 5970 in your standard mid-tower atx case, if you're willing to pay over a thousand dollars for it (1k AUD anyway), you should have already come equipped with a full-tower case.

Nobody cares. Regardless, its hardly a "rig" by today's standards.

Not to mention you're stupid enough to run a 32bit OS while using 4gb's of ram...

I believe the prices should come down...they've been making transistors for a hundred years.

@ColBuzby.....right....and I suppose you could make the 55nm transistors your self?

LOLO Colbuzby- Graphics cards are so much more than plastic and wires- think about how small the transistors are in the GPU itself, it takes incredibly expensive machinery and super expensive Clean Room labs and factories to manufacture these things not to mention the employees have to be among some of the worlds smartest people to keep pushing the technology forward. When you purchase a new GPU your not only paying for the materials in that card but the R&D and money invested for that product.
