2007 Dodge Durango HEMI Review

As of 2/11/11: We haven't had any more problems with this truck. I sort of take back any harsh comments about it too because i really like how ergonomic the interior is, especially how the seats fold down and the automatic lift gate. The best part is the power though, HEMIs are overrated but they sure do make a lot of power either way.
Just to clear things up:
-I have a warranty on this vehicle
-I do not particularly like this "truck" but hey, its my parents car not mine
-Yes i know Dodge sucks but we got a good deal on it and we needed a new car
-This thing has ALREADY been sent back to get fixed (for a petty reason); as i say in the video there was a ground under the driver's seat which someone in the back must have accidentally pulled out with their shoe but its running fine right now.

Witch one would you recommend a 2006 Ford Explorer or a 2006 Dodge Durango?

@DodgeAriez Despite the problems ive mentioned i have to recommend the dodge. Its really surprising but the Ford has more issues, and more major issues than the Dodge! The ford is known to have a lot of transmission issues, which are really expensive to repair. So i'd say get the dodge

@raptor750r I see your point but the new Ford 2007 up are more reliable then Toyota and yes the old Ford have more issues you are right . Ford is one of the best selling automaker in the USA to this date great example take look at facebook on the Ford Explorer page there is 191,511 people that like the explorer and only 383 like Durango. Ford Explorer is beating the Dodge Durango on sale, reliable in 2011 almost on everything plus the explorer get great mpg 26 -28 mpg on hwy.

If it was between a 2011 explorer and durango i'd go durango. The main thing that gets me is the fact that the new explorer doesn't even look like an SUV anymore...just a wimpy crossover vehicle that can't tow anything without bending in half. Now, the new explorer AND durango both look like less of an SUV, especially within a minivan-like rear end like you mentioned. And we'll see what kind of problems each have soon enough.But i'd still choose the durango.To each his own anyway.

To be honest this car are not that good if you are planning to keep for a long time! They look nice and luxury but not for me! Maybe for somebody that have time to put money in it when they get old especially the big problem the tranmisssion, oil Pump go bad on most of 2004-2008 Durango, If I was you I would take the warranty! It would save you alot of money and time!

@raptor750r I bought a 2005 Durango 4.7 engine and I love it so far ride very smooth. I believe Durango should be the best selling suv not the explorer and my opinion.

@raptor750r Dont get me wrong Dodge Durango are great SUV from 1998-2009 but what they did to the new model is ugly it look like a minivan from the back. I guess that is what future suv will look like.

@kashawnmichael Not true at all. I had an 06 but it ended up getting totalled. Not one engine or tranny related issue. Plus these vehicles are Mercedes engineered for the later model Durangos and that says a lot for their reliability.

@raptor750r It's ok buddy, it's a nice system bro. I preffer the build in navi in cars. I have one from honda built in although they are expensive but work better!! Pioneers and Alpines are bad asses and Hondas use Alpine navi in their cars!!
