Nyiregyhazi had it ready in his head... like Mozart. he just let it through his fingers. no sweat needed in forming the piece.

Awesome. They cannot kill this music much as they try.Ervin surely was a genius of major proportions. This is clearly evident here.in this gem of a transcription.

@fledgehog That's right, and I couldn't have actually been making a comment on his "interpretation" either, rather than a literal comment about the piece...
-
@gojewla yes it is. "Wagner-Liszt" isn't the name of the composer, it's actually part of the designated title for the improvised piece.

IS SO INTENSE, AMAZING PERFORMANCE, HE IS A TRUE MUSICIAN

@newgeorge ...I thought he didn't own a piano for 40 years or so, ...living in subways, etc., etc.

MESMERIZING ....UNIQUE .. I felt "everything" was expressed (on a keyboard too) till the death of Isolde, then starting at 4:20 an uncredible ultimate move (sursaut) till 4:30 with an haunting cosmical desintegration chord at 4:29..... something to do with our soul .. not even with feelings nor spirit we can feel proud and moved of being human... thanks to Erwin and to jero 13595 for this unique experience
