Fail. Why use an iPhone at your desk, next to a PC? The point of iPhone is MOBILE computing. That goose-neck looks less than mobile...

your comment = fail. duh, of course the magnifier is not meant to be mobile! I use this iphone/magnifier setup all the time on my desk AT WORK. I stream live tv to my iphone via Slingbox/SlingPlayer and keep an eye on real-time stock quotes. I only have a 17" monitor at work and can't have windows for video and stock quotes interfering with the work I'm doing. If I end up getting the new Apple iPad, then I'll no longer need the magnfier as the 10 inch screen will be easy to see.

You need to make this magnifier in the shape of an Ipad that it can fit on to a iphone , so that it can be used as both iphone and ipad...that will be a good selling tool, and i dont see a purpose of ipad if i can have a magnifier like that and it can also be mobile and cheap

If you have the 3GS, there are some things like zoom and voiceover to help people with vision problems.

That's just a really nice magnifier and it's got a rimless lens too.

It depends on the strength of a persons eyes and how would someone else know.

Simple and ingenius. Why would you use this? Well, some of us who sit at our desk and are continuously receiving text messages, and ur eyes basically suck - this is a wonderful addition!

Thanks for the tip!  After reading your review and seeing this demo a few weeks ago, I ended up buying a couple magnifiers, one for work and kitchen table at home where I use my iphone to read emails, websites and bring up recipes I've stored. The magnifier really does a super job at blowing up the size of my iphone screen for reading, watching videos & movies and playing games. I definitely 2nd the recommendation. Now I just need a magnifier that's portable for business trips.
