I nearly did buy a GS1 second hand for only 150 quid back in the 90s'. I wish I did now, but it was the bridge that put me off. There were no intonation saddles on it, just a straight bridge a bit like on a acoustic. I couldn't be bothered with buying and fixing another bridge on it, so I left it. Never mind.

yup, I just bought a GS 1.6...had problems with the intonation...ordered another bridge from Gordon Smith and all is taken care of now. you should buy one too!

  • Dickie Hammond is probably the best punk guitarists of our time.........leatherface is nothing without him!!!!

  • This song makes me cry from happiness. Frankie is a true poet through and through.

  • EPIC!

  • these tunes are amazing, love all their stuff.

I love the fact the guitars do the talking and create so much mood....thats what its all about for me, (plus the vocals which just add the the mood)

    ABSOLUTE CHAMPION!

  • @jeffpoonkrock Yeh, 91 was about the time I got into Leatherface as well. One of my most favourite bands of all time. I nearly bought a Gordon Smith GS1, but I didn't like the bridge, it had no string saddles where you can adjust the intonation properly. That was the only thing that I didn't like though. They were really low priced guitars back then, not so much now though.

  • @DoctorDoBuggerAll cool gordon smith.best punk rock geeetar .is that dr bisons comment?.LEATHERFACE BEEN LISTENING SINCE 1991 AWSOME AND THE SONGS JUST GET BETTER UNLIKE MOST BANDS THESE LADS TURN EM OUT EVERY TIME
