2011 SWAIA Indian Market: Oglala Lakota Bead Artist Emil Her Many Horses

Oglala Lakota bead and quill artist Emil Her Many Horses began his artistic career when he was in junior high school. He learned from tribal ladies who were patient with him and recognized that his bead lines were probably better than theirs. Emil is also a curator at NMAI (National Museum of the American Indian) in Washington, D.C. by day.
