This is a zombie chase scene shot in the Merchant City area of Glasgow (acting as Philadelphia) for the upcoming Brad Pitt film 'World War Z'. This scene was filmed on the afternoon of 27th August 2011 and I got the lucky opportunity to be up close to the action. Enjoy!

  • @ampa4president lol I was just thinking the same. Freaking dumb ass

  • @jerboze Zombies wouldn't be able to run or walk at all. Blood coagulates when a person dies and to move, your muscles require blood. Now that were out of the realistic side, running zombies are much more scarier.

  • @possumman10 I still can't wait to see it though--a zombie movie that should actually be large-scale...and very dramatic, since most of these movies really aren't (the book is like The Stand of zombie stories). I really shouldn't complain too much.

  • @possumman10 it's not unreasonable to think that after they reanimate, but only IMMEDIATELY after they reanimate. The story takes place over a long period of time, though so they probably would decay to such an extent that they couldn't run. I guess that's what I'm trying to say about the whole "Zombie runs the 100 yard dash" conceit. In the beginning, sure, but after a while, c'mon...

  • @jerboze if they're dead and rotting, they wouldn't be moving in the first place so it's all flawed ; ) I know it's not true to the book etc BUT, if something like this ever did happen, it wouldn't be unreasonable to think they might run after re-animation as the blood isn't cold and coagulated / stiff.

  • @AltruisticAlbatross I'm currently on page 210, I can't wait for the movie!

  • @IanMartinTV Yes, and loved it! I did some more research into this matter, and apparently they "lunge" as they close in on someone. That's not so bad, I guess. Fingers crossed.

  • @AltruisticAlbatross Have you read the book?
