  • @SuperNingerGinger ...i understand exactly what you mean....i'm wondering the exact same thing as you...his performance/ voice in where the light is was PERFECT / FLAWLESS....,,may be he did his best in La concert..,,i don't know the answer to be honest with u..

  • ok so was where the light is doctored or something. i mean this is ok a far as live performances go for stars now adays, but the live in l.a. performances were flawless, they sounded 10x better than studio. but all the other shows i watch sound like this. i mean it's ok. im just wondering if they changed his voice for the where the light is recordings, or if he just doesn't try like he did then. someone please respond.

  • @inuyashaspet He said on the commentary from Any Given Thursday, his breathy voice is from nerves =]

  • i'm thinking he handles pressure and nerves pretty well considering what he has pulled off at the annual eric clapton crossroads guitar festivals that he's been invited to for a few years now. specifically "gravity"...talk about shredding a guitar AND in front of a bunch of legends on top of it.

  • wow! the vocals are spot on!

  • @snydervince001 i almost agree. i'd say "if you don't recognize the quality of this song"

  • @ztbsk8er It's really weird. His earlier live concerts always shows him with this problem until he gets toward the end of the show, when his voice gets closer to his normal, "studio recording" tone.

In contrast, you can easily tell how nice and consistent his voice is in his newer shows, such as his LA concert. It's too bad I liked the genuine volatility from his earlier shows more.

  • @inuyashaspet Why do you think he's nervous? This is the only show I've seen where he has this lisp thing. Maybe he had some kind of tooth issue or sore in his mouth that caused the lisp.
