  • So how has this drive been in the long run?. Still works good?.

  • @workensmart Yep, Still works the same as the day I got it!

  • thanks for the review. I'm picking up a wh12ls30, which I'm guessing is pretty much the same price. And hearing you say that it may never drop below 100 makes me kind of giggle. I just picked my wh12 up for 85, free shipping on the egg. But hey, that's technology for ya!

  • @ericeng91 Haha yea Glad I could help. I guess this review was meant for Fall 2010. Doesn't age too well as with most reviews dealing with prices and technology at the time haha.

  • I tried burning some .mkv files to memorex bd-r and play them on my rca blu ray player and i burned them with nero 10 and it keeps saying that is unsupported format. Do you happen to have any idea what i could be doing wrong?

  • @Schlaghammer are you encoding the files to be burned on the blu-ray, or just burning them directly as data?

  • @themo8370 That's good was looking into getting a Blu-Ray drive for my HTPC. The Sony I have in there now is just a basic OEM drive like you have. It kinda sucks. It also keeps the disc spinning at high speed allot longer then any other drive I've had. I might also get a Basic OEM LG drive for my Gaming rig. The sony drive in that is also annoying. Good thing the basic drives are cheap. Also do you know anything about the basic samsung drives? any good?

  • Why do you have 2 DVD drives plus Blue Ray? Isn't that a waste of a drive bay? Also, on average say a 2 hr film, how long will it take to burn onto blue ray & what's the quality like? Do you feel it's better to invest in a higher quality disk? I live in the uk and seen prices for a single disk starting from £5 !!

  • @themo8370 i've just put the .mkv into nero blu ray and burn from there so i don't think so.

  • @chet040 I have 3 friends with PS3's and all 130 discs i've done work.

  • @babalonius508 No problem! Glad i could help!
