Good Idea. Another Important issue is making circuits in computers and other things not produce heat. That would be another sweet bonus

Our (banking) leaders want to impose a carbon tax so they can make us pay themselves back (with interest) for us having to bail them out of their planned real estate chaos (American Recovery Act, etc). Only a very small percent will go for largescale RE. Germany's (rather high) feed in tariff (which charges utility customers for higher prices for solar and such) is proof that even in cloudy weather, feed ins are better than carbon taxes! First Solar built best mass PV factory as a result!

The biggest problem is our trade imbalance. Our biggest export is the dollar. For now they are being accepted around the world, since we are still the reserve currency. But a nation cannot export a printing press as we are doing. It is completely unsustainable. Our economy is based on 82% consumption. If we are such a great producer, then i challenge you to go a whole week buying only American products. Over the last 10 years we have lost 4 million manufacturing jobs overseas.

insourcing has been "entirely absent' from the discussion on the outsourcing of U.S. manufacturing jobs overseas

What insourcing are you talking about. If an american company can make products cheaper in Asia and the government doesn't discourage it, then that's exactly whats going to happen. At first they tell you they're subsidizing a portion of the company to be competitive on the economic scene. But the reality is that they love to pay slave labor wages, and Americans don't want to work for them. I would love to buy American products, but when a similar Chinese one is 50% less unfortunately ill buy it.

Obviously you are to ignorant to have even a clue of what was being said.
Fox News or any news determines financial numbers and the value of U.S. exports or the Gross domestic product of the U.S., which dwarfs every nation on earth!
