WFLA News Channel 8 Story Anti-Health Reform Protest At Kathy Castor's Office News OR Propaganda?

John Russell and friends attended the August 21, 2009 Anti- Health Reform Protest in order to educate and inform those in attendance.

Conversations with the protesters confirmed our suspicion that many in attendance had been sorely miss-informed by the likes of FOX News and Rush Limbaugh.

Interestingly once the details were spelled out on what would constitute an appropriate/legitimate Public Option, there was surprising agreement in the benefits of such a program (Medicare for All), when the fog of Corporate propaganda was dissected and dismissed through intelligent discourse. Though some were purely ideological, others were rationale and amenable to the rational reason of fact when carefully explained.




Sorry to say as this video depicts, WFLA News Channel 8 was more interested in careful editing in order to move their agenda rather than the truth. As a politician , I am very familiar with such antics by the press. As you can see the editors used my words taken somewhat out of context to portray me as one of the opponents to health reform. I oppose the Baucus Grassley Bill which is an Insurance Industry concoction of the worst order... BAD for the ordinary citizen while GUARANTEEING even FATTER Profits for the INSURANCE Industry! Only ONE rally against Health Reform took place that day August 21, 2009 yet Anchor Josh Thomas uses the PLURAL "Rally (s) across the Bay Area... Also a little loose with the descriptor medical professional as I was the ONLY licensed Health Professional in attendance. All to convey legitimacy to those who are so mis-informed by FOX and Rush who's job it is to mis-inform the masses in order to protect Big Insurance.
