i have pain in the pubic/groin/lower abdominal area... I work out at the gym most days in the week. i dont know if the decline bench did something while doing sit ups. but it doesnt hurt when i push on the area, my stomach just feels kind of bloated and uncomfortable. almost signs of a hernia/appendicidis(sp) but no lumps or nausia.. im 26 yrs old and 165lbs, if u have any ideas or help on anything please let me kno asap, i just dont want possible surgery : / THNX
Sports hernia. Weak core which causes a small tear in your abdomen, and puts excessive use on your adductor (groin) muscle and mimics a strained groin.
My question would also be has this person had a vasectomy or any other surgeries? If so, I have seen that scar tissue can also cause similar complaints. In addition to Ryan's comments - Myofascial release aka gentle slow stretching might help. Thai Yoga massage/stretches are also effective.
