Visual Montage for English 2 H, Mrs. Bagwells' class.
The purpose of this video is to show the "gruesome reality of war." Why that, you ask? Because it is one of the sub-themes in A Farewell to Arms, a book I'm in the process of reading, and this is one fourth of my project. The rest of the project is a slideshow, a brochure, and a newspaper all due mid January. Which is why I need criticism to make this video better, since it isnt perfect.

as graphic as that movie was the actual reality of warfare is muchmuch worse. my brother faught in iraq and has described some pretty gnarly shit that he both saw and did... we should all be antiwar, but we should not be antisoldier, they are only doing what they think we expect them to do, until that stops war will continue. it is up to all of us to stop it, not just the republicans or the rich folks... all of us have to just stop.

@CaptainsneakyMk5 the wars which US fought after Korean and Vietnam wars were assymetric wars. People still die by truck load...it's just that casualty are skewed towards the technologically less advanced. However, if you're looking at the absolute figures, yes..your argument is valid because World War Two was the contest between great powers and the magnitude of warfare was many times larger than Afghan and Iraq war.

WW2 was the second most shitestly faught war after WW1 being the shitest. wars are faught very different now, much less casulties. i think if you tried to use clips from Iraq and Afghanistan you would find it much harder to convey this message.
